Getenergy Ltd organises two annual global events promoting education and training for the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. We aim to foster the development of human capital in the energy industry through forging relationships between oil and gas companies, governments, universities and other training providers at our events.
We are different from other event organisers in that we are independent – we don’t provide education or training ourselves - but we believe that the solution to the education and training challenge facing the oil and gas business is to bring together without barriers the organisations that do provide education and training with those people from oil and gas companies who source it.
We are seeking to recruit three sales executives to join our rapidly expanding sales team.
Learning Arena Sales Executive, Exploration and Production, based in London
Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Key Relationships: Learning Arena Director, Exploration & Production
Purpose and Key Accountabilities: You will support the Learning Arena Director to deliver the annual upstream event through researching new clients in the exploration and production sector and selling exhibition space to oil and gas companies, universities, and education and training providers in the Learning Arena for the event.

Learning Arena Sales Executive, Refining and Petrochemicals, based in London
Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Key Relationships: Learning Arena Director, Refining and Petrochemicals
Purpose and Key Accountabilities: You will support the Learning Arena Director to deliver the annual downstream event. You will research new clients and sell exhibition space to refining and petrochemical companies, universities and education and training providers in the Learning Arena for the event.

Sales Executive, based in London
Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Key Relationships: CEO, Head of Programming
Purpose and Key Accountabilities: You will be responsible for researching clients and selling exhibition space to potential sponsors for Getenergy country-focussed events. Forthcoming projects include Kazakhstan in November 2008, and Iraq in January 2009.

Ideal candidates for all vacancies will be graduate level self-starters with excellent communications skills, including written, spoken and interpersonal skills; sales experience, ideally gained in a B2B environment, with a strong focus on client contact skills; IT literate, with the ability to research new business opportunities through industry and web based media, and an awareness of issues facing the energy sector.
Some international travel is required for all these vacancies.
