Uganda & Tanzania Localisation Forum
The Uganda & Tanzania Localisation Forum will be held in Kampala, Uganda on the 22-23rd January, in partnership with the Uganda Chamber of Mines & Petroleum. Bringing together chief decision makers across government, the oil and gas industry, education and training the workshop will advance productive discussions and form practical action plans for local skills and supply chain development in each country.
The Mozambique Localisation & Investment Assembly will be held in Maputo on the 25-26th January, with the endorsement of INP and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Professional, Technical and Higher Education.
Mozambique has emerged as one of the most significant natural gas players in the world after the discovery of 85 trillion cubic feet of gas in 2012, and now, as President Nyusi recently remarked, ‘the resource is now transforming into money’. In May 2017, the $7 billion investment in the Coral South liquefied natural gas project led by Eni was officially approved, paving the way for other projects in the Rovuma Basin to follow suit.
Getenergy Global 2018
Getenergy Global Exhibition and Awards 2018, 26 -27 September, is the culmination of year round conversations focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of training, education and localisation for the energy industry.
Getenergy Latin America & Caribbean Assembly
Getenergy Latin America & Caribbean Assembly 2017 will take place in Colombia in association with ANH, providing a unique platform to create partnerships around education and workforce capacity development. Maintaining the growth of our industry in growth markets such as Colombia and Mexico, will be in part dependant on attracting and training future oil and gas professionals. Colombia looks to be the perfect backdrop for Getenergy’s 5th American event, as Ecopetrol looks to increase production by 2020, and more licensing auctions and fewer rules for the private market.
Getenergy Mexico Localisation Forum
Getenergy is delighted to return to Mexico at the beautiful Palacio de Mineria in Mexico City where our Mexico Localisation Forum will continue to drive discussions between the government, operators and academia on how to meet urgent local content and workforce demands as the Energy Reform evolves. Three years on from the momentous Energy Reform, SENER has been progressively changing the industry and implementing international standards through partnership agreements.
